Hunters Take the Spotlight at Brave Horse Week V

Brave Horse Summer Series Week V seemed to belong to the Intermediate Adult and Children’s Hunters, with high numbers and intense competition across both divisions.

Caruso, ridden and owned by Ashley DeMarco, took the Intermediate Adult 2’6” tri color after winning the under saddle, and taking a first, second and third in her top over fences trips.

In the same division, Tall Dark and Handsome, ridden by Debbie Foley and owned by Kate Bucciarelli, claimed reserve and also won the Intermediate Adult Hunter Classic 2’6” with Caruso coming in second. Both riders are trained by Adie Amorose.

Written in the Stars, ridden and owned by Melodie Robitaille and trained by Sarah Ash, had a banner weekend winning The Intermediate Children’s Classic as well as the Intermediate Children’s Equitation and Intermediate Children’s Hunter Divisions. Robitaille has had the ride on Aries, a 21 year old bay Holsteiner gelding, for several years and their partnership has flourished as they’ve logged many show miles together.
